Freecreditreport.com rebranded themselves as Freecreditscore.com and in the process ditched the old band mascots and searched across the country for the new band to sing those catchy songs. They held a American Idol style audition in New York, Chicago, and LA. 80 bands were filmed documentary style and online submissions were reviewed through the website. 12 semifinalists were chosen and then voted for online to narrow down to just 4 finalists. Each band got their own 30 second spot. The four finalist bands all get national media exposure during the MLB All-Star game, plus prize packages from Gibson® and Live Nation®. The three runners up will receive a $7,500 check to be divided among band members. The winning band will receive a $10,000 check, a full line of Gibson instruments including Pearl drum kit merchandise valued at $12,000, plus a studio session with music industry veterans and a chance to walk the red carpet at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards..not to mention three 30 second spots.
